The Bright star is Alnitak in the Belt of Orion

The Flame and Horsehead nebulas are in the constellation Orion. The Bright Star Alnitak is the lower most or star in the belt of Orion. The Flame-Horsehead is approximately 1500 Light Years from Earth.
