Jupiter

This was my first attempt at taking pictures of a Planet. After some experimenting, I set my camera to ISO 320 with an exposure duration of 1/500 sec. Then I set the Camera Control to take 100 pictures at 1 second intervals. Using RegiStax 6, only 85 of the 100 pictures were of sufficient quality to use in the stacking process.
The resultant image was processed using "Capture NX2" and then cropped to give the image above. Not bad for my first attempt. I would like the focus to be a little sharper. Next time I will use a D 800 camera to get more pixel resolution.
